Understanding Your Timeshare Financing Options
Timeshare Resale Auctions:
Timeshares are great for anyone who's always wanted a vacation home but can't afford one. With a timeshare, you purchase the rights to use a piece of property for a duration of time each year. Most timeshares are much nicer than the hotels you're probably used to staying in. There are cottages, houses, villas, and properties that come as part of a larger resort. One of the best things about these types of properties is the variety of timeshare financing options you can choose. Let's take a look:
First, there are deeded and non-deeded timeshares. Deeded timeshares mean you're buying ownership in the property. To purchase an average timeshare for one week for the rest of your life, you can expect to pay $10,000 or more. The price will depend on the location and features of the individual property. Then there's the non-deeded method of timeshare acquisition. With a non-deeded timeshare, you will normally pay to be a member of a club that allows you use the timeshare based on a points system. Then, of course, you can always rent or lease a timeshare as well.
When it comes to when you can use a timeshare and for how long, that will depend on whether or not your agreement is fixed or floating. With a fixed timeshare, you're required to use the timeshare at the same time every year. However, with a floating timeshare, you have more flexibility when it comes to the dates you can use the property. Of course, floating timeshares are available on a first come, first serve basis. You wouldn't be able to use the property if another user had booked it first. So with this kind of timeshare, be sure to reserve your time as much in advance as possible.
You can learn more about the timeshare financing options available to you when you start looking at properties. You will find timeshares offered for sale by realtors, timeshare brokers, and even directly from owners. If a budget is what you're looking for, you're likely to find the most affordable timeshares offered for sale by owner. Timeshares are flexible and there are lots of different choices out there to suit any need or preference.
